The University of Missouri is seeking qualified candidates to fill 4 positions within the following areas: Aquatics, Fitness/Personal Training, Sports and Competition, and Student Development. These positions are full-time (40 hr./week) and benefits eligible, geared towards candidates who desire to pursue an advanced degree.
Anticipated state date: July 1, 2021 (negotiable)
Notes: Full-time, benefit eligible University employees who have passed the probationary period (6 months), receive a 75% reduction of the tuition and supplemental fees up to 6 credits per Fall and Spring semesters and 3 credits per summer session.

Aquatic Specialist:MU HR Website, Job Opening: 35509 The Aquatic Specialist assumes functional and administrative responsibility of all aquatic lifeguard staff in the Mizzou Aquatic Center, which includes a 50M competitive pool, diving well, two whirlpools, indoor and outdoor leisure pools and a steam and sauna rooms. This position manages aquatic lifeguard staff including the hiring, training, supervision and evaluation of these staff; additionally, assisting in providing professional supervision of facility operations; instructing American Red Cross courses and communicating custodial and maintenance needs. This position will assist in the supervision of aquatic special events and competitions as needed.
Personal Training Specialist:MU HR Website, Job Opening: 35508 This position will assist in managing the day-to-day operations of MizzouRec's personal training program. Responsibilities include assisting in the development and management of a comprehensive fitness program; hire, train, supervise, coach, and evaluate 15+ student personal trainers to help clients reach mutually established goals. This position is responsible for delivering a positive fitness experience for members and clients.
Sports and Competition Specialist:MU HR Website, Job Opening: 35506 This position will assist in the day-to-day operations of MizzouRec sport and competition programs; more specifically RecSports (Intramurals) and Club Sports. Responsibilities include assisting in the development and management of a comprehensive recreational program; assist in the hiring, training, and supervision of the student staff within those programs.
Student Development Specialist:MU HR Website, Job Opening: 35510 This position assists in the ongoing professional development of the departmental student staff. Primary responsibilities include coordination of student staff hiring orientations and in-service sessions to improve their ability to apply departmental and NIRSA competencies. Additionally, this position assists in the coordination and execution of student staff awards and recognition events.
