University Recreation at the University of Arkansas is seeking candidates for a Student Development Coordinator to help them achieve their mission to empower students for success through recreation and wellness. The Student Development Coordinator will assist with the administration and oversight of the student staff development programs at University Recreation. University Recreation is a department within the Division of Student Affairs.
The Student Development Coordinator oversees part-time employee onboarding and training and is responsible for the University Recreations employee personal and professional development programming. Additional responsibilities include departmental initiatives related to staff development, leadership, and recognition.
Qualifications include the following: Minimum
Bachelor's degree in Higher Education or related field from an accredited institution of higher education
At least one year of student development programming experience
Experience in the campus recreation and/or student affairs setting
Master's degree in Higher Education or related field from an accredited institution of higher education
At least three or more years of student development programming experience
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
Knowledge of student development theory
Knowledge of staff development program design and management
Knowledge of part-time staff onboarding and training
Knowledge of career competency training
Ability to instruct and facilitate education programs
Ability to create and monitor annual budget
Ability to evaluate and assess programs
Ability to balance multiple assignments, deadlines, and tasks
Ability to work in a team environment
