University of South Alabama Department of Campus Recreation has an open Competitive Sports graduate assistant position for the 2021-22 academic year. Assistantship is renewable for the second year based on performance.
The Graduate Assistant will assist the Coordinator of Competitive Sports with the management, planning, and administration of the Intramural Sports and Club Sports program. The primary focus will be the recruitment, training, scheduling, and evaluation of student employees including officials, supervisors, and office assistants. Other duties include league/tournament programming, budget planning, and policy/procedure development. Additional responsibilities include marketing, promotion, and assessment of programs as well as serving in other duties in the Department of Campus Recreation
Acceptance into the University of South Alabama Graduate School is required. Experience in officiating Flag Football, Basketball, Soccer, Volleyball, and Softball is preferred. Experience in Club Sports management is also preferred.
Additional Salary Information: $3,333 per semester stipend paid bi-weekly, tuition waiver for up to 12 hours per semester, and professional development opportunities. Summer hourly employment is also available.
