Nova Southeastern University's Office of Recreation and Wellness is now accepting applications for two Graduate Assistant positions from candidates planning to pursue a career in Campus Recreation / Student Affairs. The following assistantship positions are available for the 2021-2022 academic year:
Graduate Assistant for Recreational Complex Operations
Graduate Assistant for Aquatics and Operations
Graduate Assistantships are 12-month appointments and coinside with enrollment and progress in a NSU academic program, preferably the Masters in College Student Affairs.
Credentials will be accepted on a rolling basis and positions will remain open until filled. The Graduate Assistant for Aquatics and Operations is a member of the Office of Recreation and Wellness whose primary purpose is to provide coordination, oversight, supervision and support to aquatic facilities, staff, and events/activities at three university swimming pools. This position will also assist, as needed, with supervision of the operations of the university’s main Recreational Complex.
The Graduate Assistant for Recreational Complex Operations is a member of the Office of Recreation and Wellness whose primary purpose is to provide coordination, oversight, supervision and support the university recreational complex, known as "The RecPlex. This includes, but is not limited to, the recruitment, hiring, training, scheduling and supervision of related student staff. Additional responsibilities include general facility management, facility rentals and scheduling, and membership services.
Candidates must have a confirmed bachelors degree or anticipate having one on or before July 1, 2021.
Candidates must be accepted into an NSU graduate degree program, preferably the masters degree in College Student Affairs.
Candidates must posses significant relevant experience in the area for which they are applying (at least one year), preferably in a collegiate setting.
Additional Salary Information: Choose between two packages that include full or partial tuition waiver, on-campus housing and stipend.
