Salisbury University is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Men’s & Women’s Swim Coach/Aquatics Manager.
Primary Job Duties: Serve as the men's and women's swim coach which includes scheduling, staffing, daily practice sessions, monitoring academic progress of student-athletes, recruiting and all administrative duties associated with serving in the role of the head coach. Oversees all aquatic activities, hire and supervise pool staff operate the summer swim program, monitor all maintenance efforts in support of the aquatic center. Secondary and administrative duties as assigned such as game day management, club sport supervision, travel coordinator.
Minimum Qualifications: Three to five years of related experience and a Bachelor’s degree. Certified Pool Operator (CPO), Lifeguard Training, CPR for Professional Rescuers. AED, Bloodborne Pathogens, Oxygen administration, Lifeguarding Instructor, Water Safety Instructor, Safety Training for Swim Coaches all required.
Must be detail oriented and have excellent interpersonal, customer service, organization and planning, prioritization, problem solving, follow through, time management, and oral & written communication skills. Also, must be flexible and possess the ability to successfully handle multiple tasks/projects simultaneously and work well under pressure, independently, and in a team-oriented environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) is required.
Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree. College coaching experience. Lifeguard Instructor Trainer, Water Safety Instructor Trainer, Aquatic Director Certification (USWFA) or Lifeguard Management (ARC), Water Fitness Instructor, Level 2 or above ASCA certification.
This is a full-timeexempt State position with a full benefits package. Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
