This position will assist in the day-to-day operations of MizzouRec sport and competition programs; more specifically Club Sports. Responsibilities include assisting in the development, management, and evaluation of a comprehensive Club Sports program which includes 38 club sport teams; hire, train, supervise, and evaluate 25+ Club Sports Staff; assist with the supervision of indoor/outdoor facilities and special events, provide excellent customer service to our members and guests and ensure proper compliance with department practices and University guidelines.
Design, implement, and manage a comprehensive Club Sports program to include officer development, scheduling club practices, managing club travel, and hosting home tournaments and special events.
Provide supervision and coordination of evening and weekend operations, including management of facilities used during sports and competition programming.
Assist with the recruitment, training, supervision, and evaluation of 25+ Club Sports programming student staff.
Involvement with duties and responsibilities of divisional and university special projects and events, programming, and work groups pertaining to the overall student experience.
As with all positions, involvement with other duties and responsibilities is expected in order to serve students and maintain the MizzouRec mission.
This position is full-time (40 hr./week) and benefits eligible, geared towards candidates who desire to pursue an advanced degree.
Anticipated state date: July 1, 2021 (negotiable)
Notes: Full-time, benefit eligible University employees who have passed the probationary period (6 months), receive a 75% reduction of the tuition and supplemental fees up to 6 credits per Fall and Spring semesters and 3 credits per summer session.

Minimum Qualifications: A high school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 1 year of experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities can be acquired is necessary.
Preferred Qualifications: A Bachelor's Degree required in Sports Management, Recreation, or related area. An equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.
One to two years’ experience working with sports and competition programming or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired.
Preferred certifications, credentials, and experience with CPR/AED/First Aid, sports officiating, scheduling leagues/tournaments, and risk and facility management.
