Recruit, hire, train, assess and schedule intramural sport officials and supervisors
Responsible for all aspects of competitive sports program including but not limited to scheduling, assessing, policies and procedures
Demonstrate and teach conflict and risk management skills to competitive sports staff
Recruit, hire, train and schedule camp counselors, camp supervisors and interns
Responsible for all aspects of summer camp, holiday camps, and other camp programs for youth including but not limited to scheduling, assessing, policies and procedures
Assist with marketing of competitive sport and camp programs
Work in collaboration with other program areas to further the mission of the department
Supervision and development of Graduate Assistant of Competitive Sports
Administration:
Responsible for the operating, preparation, forecasting and monitoring of income and expense budgets as it relates to program area
Manage budget, strategic planning, and assessment as it pertains to the program area
Prepare regular written communication such as monthly and annual reports, financial and participation reports and equipment inventory reports
Responsible for making sure that Intramural and Club Sports programs stay in line with all the current trends in programming and equipment
Assist the department risk management committee with establishing policies and procedures for facility and program areas along with training and assessing staff on risk management skills and protocol
Responsible for procurement and inventory of equipment for designated program areas
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in recreation, sport management or related field and/or Master’s degree preferred
At least 2 years of progressive experience, preferably in recreation services or related field
Demonstrated experience in officiating and training of sport officials
Demonstrated experience developing and implementing policies and procedures
Demonstrated experience in managing and organizing intramurals, sport clubs and/or camps
