Recruit, hire, train, supervise, and evaluate group fitness instructors and personal trainers
Supervise group fitness and personal training program, and skill development courses
Create and administer safe fitness programs, staff manuals, and staff training program
Coordinate all statistical information for program participation
Maintain all equipment inventory and research and purchase new fitness-related equipment
Coordinate and assist in several fitness-related special events
Assist in annual wellness-based university employee/student health screenings and wellness fair
Assist with management of the overall university student, faculty and staff wellness programming
Graduate Assistant, eSports (1 position)
Coordinates a comprehensive eSports program
Manages evening, weekend, and special event eSport activities and events to ensure quality experiences for all patrons
Interview, hire, train, schedule, supervise and evaluate eSport student staff
Oversees streaming and chat channels to engage participants and fans
Coordinates practice times and schedules for competitive eSport clubs
Advises and assists club leaders, to grow coaches from within each game
Oversight of eSport equipment
Markets the eSport programs to increase awareness and assist in the recruitment and retention of students, including coordinating a presence at university recruitment events, Show Me Days.
Communicates with area high school eSports clubs and coordinates annual eSports workshop to assist in the recruitment of future Redhawks
Requirements and Additional Information: Position requires admission into a Graduate degree program at Southeast Missouri State University, and maintenance of a Graduate GPA of 3.0. A cumulative undergraduate GPA of 2.75 is required. A 3.0 is preferred. Specific degree requirements may differ according to the academic major.
Benefits: A complete tuition remission and a stipend for Fall and Spring semesters. Additional hourly income for Winter break and Summer semester may be available. Professional development assistance may also be available.
Evaluation/Renewal: This position is renewable for one year pending a complete evaluation of candidate performance and duties. Termination or non-renewal of the assistantship may result if specific duties are not accomplished or the candidate receives poor performance reviews. Candidate must be available to start no later than August 16, 2021.
