The University of Central Florida Recreation and Wellness Center (RWC) is seeking a dynamic individual to join our team as the Coordinator of Intramural Sports and RWC Park (University Title, Campus Recreation Coordinator).
This position offers an exciting opportunity to assist in the direction of a thriving Intramural Sports program at UCF, directly manage an outdoor recreation facility and participate as an active team member on the Recreation and Wellness Center Staff. The Coordinator reports to the Assistant Director of Intramural Sports.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Assists with the overall management of the Intramural Sports program including evening and weekend supervision of sports leagues, tournaments, special events. Focuses as high priority on expanding and growing an innovative and leading sports officials’ development program through rules clinics, continuing education and use of technology across all intramurals and extramurals.
Responsible for the daily facility operation of the RWC Park complex, including the artificial turf fields, grass fields, softball complex and disc golf course.
Coordinate the RWC Park staff of approximately 25 employees and assist in the supervision of Intramural student staff of over 150 employees annually. Areas of responsibility include recruiting, hiring, training, supervising and evaluation staff.
Coordinates all facility reservations, including setup and staffing of special events. Responsible for seeking outside groups for facility rental revenue generation.
Responsible for the budget preparation and management for assigned areas. Responsible to recommend and purchase equipment '¾ and supplies along with tracking of inventory
Develops and recommends policies relating to the RWC Park Field Complex and Intramural Sports Program and assist with marketing and assessment efforts for the program and facility
Coordinates all regular and special facility maintenance with RWC staff, UCF Athletics Association and outside vendors as required. Assist with any RWC park improvement and expansion projects.
Work closely with Student Government (SG) to meet the goals, objectives and expectations of one of their primary funded agencies.
Responsible for risk management in all areas of responsibility. Serve as an Instructor for American Red Cross CPR/AED/First Aid Certification programs

Preferred Work Experience, Preferences and Requirements:
Supervisory experience in university recreation including direct oversight of intramural sports programming
Demonstrated experience training and developing sports officials in a variety of recreational sports. Possess a state or national governing body certification or qualification as a sports official in at least one sport.
Requires Master's degree in an appropriate area of specialization; or a bachelor's degree in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of appropriate experience.
Masters degree in higher education, sports management, recreation or related field of study
