The Membership Services Manager reports to the Associate Director for Operations and is a member of the facilities and operations team. The primary role of the Membership Services Manager is to provide leadership and oversight in all aspects of membership services that take place at the McComas Hall administrative office and the McComas Hall service desk which includes managing the access management system through Innosoft Fusion Software. These services include, but are not limited to: point of sale and cash handling operations; membership sales and renewals; program registration; locker and towel rentals; and facility access and eligibility. In this role, the Membership Services Manager will manage a staff of 30 to 40 students and be in charge of their training, scheduling, and oversight. The Membership Services Manager oversees the opening and closing of the administrative office along with responsibilities to ensure the efficient operation of the office, such as ordering office supplies. All members of the Recreational Sports staff work to advance the department's safety and risk management initiatives in order to create a positive and safe environment; promote the department's mission of health and wellbeing; and advance the department's commitment to inclusivity to meet the ever-changing needs of a diverse student population. This position is essential personnel and will be required to work when the university is closed due to inclement weather. Bachelor’s degree in Recreation Management or related field. Experience providing office support in a professional environment. Experience providing excellent customer service. Experience with cash handling and point of sale transactions in Innosoft Fusion or similar recreation membership management software system. Previous supervisory experience. CPR/AED, First Aid and Bloodborne Pathogens certifications or the ability to obtain certifications within 30 days of employment. Proficient with computer software such as: Excel, Word, databases. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing. Demonstrated ability to collaborate, form partnerships, and work effectively as a member of a goal oriented team. The Department of Recreational Sports operates within the Division of Student Affairs. The Department maintains two recreation/wellness facilities: McComas Hall and War Memorial Hall. McComas Hall offers three basketball/volleyball courts, an eight-lane indoor swimming pool, a weight training and cardiovascular workout area, two fitness studios, spin studio, fitness assessment center, TRX and core area, locker and shower facilities, equipment check out, an elevated jogging track, and a lounge area. The facility is also home to the Student Health and Counseling Centers. War Memorial Hall offers an indoor swimming pool and diving well, 6 basketball courts, 13 racquetball courts, 2 wallyball courts, a gymnastics room, locker and shower facilities, a handball court, a weight room, volleyball courts, a squash court, saunas, a dance/fitness room, and a multi-purpose room. The Department provides programs and services in open recreation, fitness, aquatics, instructional programs, intramural sports, sport clubs, outdoor recreation and special events.
