Provide leadership and management of fitness and wellness services, including personal training, nutrition services, private Pilates, wellness coaching, and sports skills and conditioning.
Strength and Conditioning Spaces. Oversee supervision of over 13,000 square feet of strength and conditioning spaces; assist with capital fitness equipment purchases; review and implement risk mitigation efforts; review and develop policies for the fitness floor.
Personal Training and Fitness Programs. Develop offerings, set financial targets, determine fees, process client intake forms, coordinate client assignments, communicate with clients and staff. Administer programs with the intent of creating a sense of belonging.
Promotion and Education. Work with the marketing team to proactively promote offerings; develop educational materials to encourage health and wellness; actively seek opportunities to expand awareness of and participation in fitness services and wellness education; ensure website information is current and relevant; develop campus relationships and partnerships.
Staff Supervision. Recruit, hire, train, schedule, supervise, and evaluate personal trainers (students and part-time staff), and fitness floor supervisors (students); develop and administer training and development opportunities.
Program Development. Develop and implement new fitness/wellness programs and services based on current research and industry trends; collaborate with the Senior Assistant Director and campus partners to offer fitness and wellness initiatives.
Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual reports.
Submit and process student and non-student bi-weekly payroll.
Monitor employee certifications and records to ensure compliance.
Develop and monitor financial and participation goals for programs and services.
Develop and monitor student learning outcomes and participant outcomes.
Collect program evaluations and participation feedback.
Help with Exercise Science Interns.
Assist with department events.
Serve on committees and work teams as assigned.
Attend and participate in assigned department, university, and Centers meetings.
Actively participate in professional development.
Other duties as assigned.

Bachelor’s degree and Master’s degree strongly preferred or equivalent years of work experience.
Two to three years of administrative work experience in fitness and wellness services preferred.
Nationally recognized fitness certification required, e.g. personal training, strength and conditioning, group fitness, etc.; personal training certification strongly preferred.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
