Function Statement/Summary of Duties: The Member Services Coordinator manages the member management software system for the Department of Recreational Sports, including training student employees throughout all facilities and general setup and administration; act as department liaison to Student Life Technology Services regarding system updates and maintenance; directly leads a team of 125 student employees and one graduate assistant in Member Services at the Recreation and Physical Activity Center (RPAC); works closely with Staff Training and Development Coordinator to create customer service training.
Operation of RPAC Member Services area (including Welcome Center, Sport Shop, and Access Control) under direction of the Assistant Director of Member Services, including administration, coaching and development of one Graduate Administrative Associates and more than 125 student employees, and oversight of payroll and supplies and services budgets. Responsible for communication between business services staff, facility coordinators, and programming staff in order to keep student staff posted on cash handling procedures, special events, facility maintenance and program offering. Budget oversight, including meeting financial expectations regarding revenue generation, cost-of-goods sold, wages, and supplies and services. Point of sale operation, including membership, products, programs and services; includes locker-room, inventory, and equipment management. Assists in providing customer service and troubleshoots problems with members when able, with assistance from members of the Business Office, Administration staff, and Assistant Director of Member Services.
Manages all facets of department member management software system including but not limited to, setup of user credentials, assisting with member accounts, troubleshooting, collection of data via reports, serves as liaison between department and Student Life Technology Services, creation and delivery of training materials, and general administration for North Recreation Center (NRC), Jesse Owens Recreation Centers (JORC), Adventure Recreation Center (ARC), Outdoor Adventure Center (OAC), Outdoor Facility Management (ODFM), RPAC, departmental programs (i.e. Group Fitness, Community Programs, IMs) focusing on consistency in operational practices. Responsible for the coordination and oversight of completing accurate and secure daily financial drops in accordance with university policy and procedures including but not limited to asset management, PCI compliance and cash handling.

Required: 2 years GAA experience or one year professional staff experience.
