We are looking for dynamic individuals seeking an internship in the area of intramural sports.
Details and Benefits
10-month positions from August through May (specific dates negotiable)
Interns will be compensated at a rate of $1,450 per month to offset their living expenses during this 10-month internship. Total compensation: $14,500.
In addition, this internship provides an optional University meal plan.
Intramural Sports Intern (1)
The Intramural Sports Intern will report to both the Director and Assistant Director of the Intramural and Recreational Sports Department. The intern will be responsible for helping with the day-to-day intramural tasks as well as administrative front office duties. Hours will vary but mainly the intern will work Monday through Friday and some occasional weekends.
Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Train, supervise, schedule, and evaluate student officials
Help improve program development
Assist with student staff training
Planning and scheduling events
Promote and market intramural activities including print, digital and social media
Plan and lead captains’ meetings and referee training sessions
Manage and assist with day-to-day intramural operations
Coordinate intramural special events
Provide customer service for office patrons including face-to-face, phone and email
Assist Director with administrative duties
Sell theme park tickets
Help oversee student desk and office employees
Assist with making schedules
Other duties as assigned
Minimum of a bachelor’s degree and or needed for credit to finish degree
Knowledge of intramural policies and trends
Excellent oral and written communication sills
Proficient in Microsoft Office and photo and video editing software (ie Photoshop, iMovie, Canva)
