University Recreation at the University of Arkansas is seeking candidates for an Aquatics Coordinator to help them achieve their mission to empower students for success through recreation and wellness. The Aquatics Coordinator will administer the daily operational and programming components of the HPER Natatorium, including maintenance and operation, scheduling, staffing, and event management. This position will ensure compliance with health, safety, and operational codes and standards; manage pool chemistry and operational systems; assist in the departmental administration of Red Cross programming and Authorized Provider status in regards to CPR, First Aid, AED, and Lifeguarding. This position is designated as weather/event essential.
Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.
Qualifications include the following:
Bachelor's degree in Recreation and Sports Management, Higher Education, Parks and Recreation, or a related field from an accredited institution of higher education
At least two years of aquatic facility management
Applicable equivalencies may be considered on the above qualifications.
Experience managing part-time employees
Masters degree in Higher Education, Recreation, and Sports Management, or a related field from an accredited institution of higher education
Experience in the campus recreation setting
Certified Scuba Diver
Lifeguard Instructor Trainer
Certified Pool Operator (CPO) or Aquatic Facility Operator (AFO) Certification
