WESTERN COLORADO UNIVERSITY invites applications for the position of Assistant Director of Campus Recreation – Mountain Sports (ADCR). The ADCR supports Mountain Sports coaches in the recruitment, retention, and development of Mountain Sports athletes. Duties include engaging students and implementing the strategic vision for Mountain Sports, registration and logistics for training and competitions, communication with key financial donors, as well as, seeking additional funding streams. This position is responsible for the day-to-day management and operations of the entire Mountain Sports Program. Minimum qualifications: Bachelor’s degree and current certification in CPR, AED and First Aid, and a valid driver’s license. Knowledge of, coaching experience or ability in, competitive alpine skiing, Nordic skiing, ski mountaineering, freeride skiing and snowboarding, rock climbing, trail running and mountain biking. Prior experience in personnel management, and designing and implementing strategic administrative processes. Salary $37,500 annually plus benefits.
