Intramural Sports Administration. Develop and implement intramural team sports, individual/dual sports, and mini-special events. Develop and enforce IM policies and procedures.
Program Development. Create and implement programs designed to meet student needs, including special events, structured drop-in activities, residence hall and campus organization social events. Assist in the planning and implementation of additional recreational programming, including Wellness programs, DIY activities, and children’s programs.
Staff Supervision. Recruit, train, and evaluate intramural officials, intramural supervisors, and staff for special and drop-in events. Develop and administer training and development opportunities for student staff. Create an inclusive developmental environment.
Campus Outreach. Work with marketing team, student ambassadors, and programming colleagues to develop integrated campus networks and outreach strategies to students, student organizations, and campus departments.
Develop programmatic outcomes and conduct assessment of performance and program effectiveness.
Fiscal Responsibility. Prepare, project, and monitor budget allocations for staff payroll and equipment needs. Manage strategic planning, budgets, and assessment for assigned program areas.
Risk Management / Procedural Supervision. Formulate and implement effective program policies, operational procedures, and risk management plans that reflect best practices.
Professional Knowledge. Maintain professional understanding of programming trends and apply best practices. Ensure that programs are responsive to student needs.
Report Development. Prepare quarterly and annual reports related to participant and student employee outcomes, participation, and equipment inventories. Use assessment and evaluation data to inform change for future events and programs. Assist with long-term planning and forecasting of equipment needs.
Collaborate with other professional staff and campus partners in the development of a welcoming, inclusive environment for on- and off-campus students
Serve on committees and work teams as assigned
Attend and actively participate in office, staff, university, and Centers, LLC meetings as scheduled Actively participate in professional development programs
Other duties as assigned
Position minimum salary is $48,000. Application review will begin on July 1, 2021.

Bachelor’s degree and Master’s degree strongly preferred or equivalent years of work experience.
Minimum of two (2) years of related experience at the graduate or professional level
Demonstrated experience in administering intramural programming and training intramural sport officials
Creative, self-directed, strategic, adaptable, and demonstrating an entrepreneurial spirit
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
Demonstrated leadership and supervisory abilities
Capable of understanding budgets.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office; ability to familiarize oneself with registration software.
Personal training and fitness leadership experience.
Human Relations: Internal contacts include staff at all levels. External contacts include external customers and vendors. Contact involves troubleshooting, informing, exchanging information, negotiating, making recommendations, and giving information or instructions.
