Assists in the routine maintenance and organizing of the fitness spaces on both campuses, along with the Personal Training studio space.
Maintains confidentiality of records in accordance with regulatory guidelines.
Participates on University committees and/or with other departments to effectively promote Recreation Services and the Recreation Center.
Responsible for establishing, monitoring, and assessing various fitness programs throughout the semester.
Work alongside the Assistant Director of Fitness in leading staff meetings, providing timely feedback to employees, and documentation of all incidents.
Responsible for keeping Facilities and Membership staff informed about any Fitness-related policy, procedure, or schedule changes to ensure proper communication across various areas.
Attends bi-weekly administrative staff meetings.
Ensures the recording and ongoing maintenance of PantherFit class attendance statistics.
Assists with oversight of fitness graduate assistant and program assistants.
Work on site at the BBC WRC 1-2 days per week. Additional days as needed.
Additional duties as assigned
Bachelor's degree in related discipline and at least two (2) years of experience providing management/ supervision in the appropriate field (group fitness, personal training)
Master's degree preferred
Must hold and maintain valid personal training and/ or group fitness instructor certification
Prior experience teaching group fitness classes and providing personal training services
Must obtain CPR/Standard First Aid Certification within 45 days of employment.
