The Department of Wellness is looking for candidates who are interesting in working with employees on campus. Reporting to the Assistant Director of Employee Wellness, the Employee Wellness Coordinator will plan, implement, and evaluate theory-and evidence-based programs and services targeting Oklahoma State University employees. Develop, implement, and analyze periodic employee wellness surveys that (1) provide baseline and follow-up data, (2) identify program needs and priorities, (3) evaluate the effectiveness of programs and services, and (4) track trends in employee health status and behavior.
Assist the Asst. Director with all aspects of the employee wellness programs including marketing, recruitment, training and the supervision of student interns and student workers.
Plan, coordinate, and lead presentations, classes and workshops on a variety of health promotion/wellness topics. Plan, coordinate, and instruct employee fitness classes/programs, as needed.
Collaborate and coordinate between departments, as needed, for special events. Collaborate with key stakeholders on and off campus to develop a comprehensive, multidisciplinary approach to promote health for employees.
Actively participate on various campus and/or community committees that are relevant to the department and university mission.
Communicate departmental policies and expectations within the Employee Wellness department.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Responsibility may require working some early mornings, evenings and weekends in order to accomplish departmental goals.
Bachelor's degree in Health Promotion, Health Education, Public Health or related field and one year of related work experience.
Current CPR (or within 90 days of hire)
Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills. Ability to work with little supervision. Success in the role will require a highly collaborative and creative individual. The ideal candidate will have experience implementing best practices in employee wellness/health promotion and proven ability to develop and evaluate programs and initiatives.
Master's degree in Health Promotion, Health Education, Public Health, Exercise Science, Kinesiology or related field.
Three years of experience working working with health promotion, wellness, fitness or related programming.
