Northern Michigan University is seeking applications for an Intramural Sports/Outdoor Equipment Manager. The position is responsible for the overall administration and organization of the intramural sports and outdoor equipment rental program within the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics and Recreational Sports; coordinate, manage and promote summer youth camps and offerings and is responsible for the daily management and operation of special events and social media platforms.
The position is 10 months (one-year term); time off to be arranged with supervisor; day shift during summer months for your programming. The targeted 10-month prorated salary is $30,216.

Bachelor’s Degree in Outdoor Recreation, Physical Education,Management or related field.
Certified sports official in related sports or ability to become certified upon being hired.
CPR, First Aid, AED certified or ability to become certified upon being hired.
Required knowledge/skills/abilities: Well-developed teaching abilities and exceptional customer service and time management skills. Previous experience/knowledge of officiating flag football, basketball, soccer and/or volleyball. Ability to work with a diverse population. Excellent oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills. Ability to accurately and efficiently perform required computerized tasks to include any combination of word processing, spreadsheet, database, e-mail, internet or web-based applications.
