Job Description: The ideal candidate has a passion for collegiate cheerleading, and
coaching student athletes. The candidate should thrive in a fast paced
environment and be committed to growing the team, and cultivating a
culture of inclusivity. Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Lead practice 2-3x week; and be present for home football and basketball games.
Work with the team captain & treasurer to balance the team budget & make purchases for the team.
Offer support to help students and the team reach their goals.
Demonstrate ethics in coaching techniques and in injury prevention.
Ensure practices are effective, safe, and fun.
Qualifications: All club sport coaches must pass background check, and be CPR/FirstAid/AED certified.
Other qualifications include:
Ability to coach at all fitness & ability levels
Ability to build rapport with student athletes
Possess knowledge of rules, regulations, strategies & techniques of the sport. Experience as a competitive Cheerleader and Cheer coach at the college level preferred.
