University Recreation at the University of Arkansas is seeking candidates for a Facility Coordinator to help them achieve their mission to empower students for success through recreation and wellness. The Facility Coordinator is responsible for the daily operations of all indoor and outdoor facilities. This includes the HPER building, UREC Tennis Center and UREC Sports Complex.The position is responsible for training and/or mentoring over 40 student employees in the areas of risk management, customer service, supervision, cash transaction processing, and facility inspections.
Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.
Qualifications include the following:
Bachelor's degree in Recreation and Sports Management, Higher Education, Parks and Recreation, or a related field from an accredited institution of higher education
One year experience in recreation, collegiate/recreational sports, or facility operations
Experience supervising part-time staff
Masters degree in Higher Education, Recreation, and Sports Management, or a related field from an accredited institution of higher education
Two years' experience in recreation, collegiate/recreational sports, or facility operations.
