DUTIES: The Programs Coordinator provides leadership in student programming and support for community activities for the Department of Campus Recreation. This individual will coordinate all facets of campus recreation including; intramural sports, club sports, fitness programming, youth camps, climbing wall, and collaborative outdoor adventure programming. This role will also provide support for the Campus Recreation department in annual special event planning. This individual will provide leadership for all student employment for the programming portion of the department. This is a full time, 12-month position which will require program supervision and support during operating hours
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE:
Bachelor’s degree from accredited institution
Experience supervising part-time employees
Demonstrated experience in campus programming
Current valid driver’s license
This position is currently ineligible for H1-B sponsorship. A qualification for this position includes independent eligibility to work within the United States upon hire date.
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE:
Master’s degree from accredited institution in Recreation or Leisure Services Management, Student Affairs, Athletic Administration, or related field.
Certification in basketball, volleyball, or soccer officiating
Experience with intramural sports team and/or individual programming
Experience with youth camp programming
Experience with fitness program delivery
Experience with outdoor equipment rental program
Working knowledge of climbing wall operations
