e believe that this place, Kenyon College, is a beautiful place in which one can build a beautiful life. And when someone's interests and strengths match the opportunities that this place has to offer, fulfillment happens.
Our faculty and staff have come here from all over the country-indeed, from all over the world, and from all kinds of backgrounds. They stay and live a life some never expected to live. Former urbanites raise sheep and practice carpentry when they are not engaged in academics. Faculty and staff walk their dogs around campus. For a change of pace, some will make the 50-minute drive to Columbus for some great dining, arts and cultural events, or shopping.
Kenyon is the kind of place where living the life of the mind matters. Discourse happens every day, and students, faculty, and staff have opportunities to learn to practice it with civility. It is the kind of place where people come together to support someone in a crisis large or small. It is collaborative more than competitive. If you want a place where individuals care deeply about learning and about one another, come here. If you want a change of pace, come here. If you strive for the best in yourself, p...rofessionally and personally, and want your students to do the same, come here.
Come be a part of Kenyon.
