The Outdoor Recreation Program (ORP) at Montana State University is part of a dynamic and growing Recreational Sports and Fitness Team. As part of Recreational Sports and Fitness the ORP provides support to all MSU students who are interested in learning more about outdoor adventure. We work with a variety of other entities on and off campus to help connect MSU students to all of the outdoor recreation opportunities that exist in Southwest Montana.
Two Open Positions:
First Year Experience Coordinator
Outdoor Rental Shop Coordinator
1. The First Year Experience Coordinator will work to facilitate our Expeditions MSU program throughout the summer. Over the course of a summer we run ~20 trips of 8 incoming MSU students and 2 student trip leaders. The First Year Experience coordinator will also manage the recruitment, hiring and training of our student staff in preparation for the student staff’s role as trip leaders for Expeditions MSU.
2. The Outdoor Rental Shop Coordinator will provide day to day oversight and support for the Outdoor Recreation Program’s Equipment Rental Program, the Bike and Ski Repair shops. The Rental Shop Coordinator will also provide logistic support to Outdoor Recreation Programs, mentor student staff, maintain and purchase additional equipment as needed and support the general business functions of the program and Recreational Sports and Fitness.
