Within the department of Recreation & Wellness, the Club Sports Coordinator will assist in supporting daily operations and administrative oversight of the club sports program. The Club Sports Coordinator will oversee a variety of key areas for the Club Sport program, which include event, risk, and brand management, advising clubs and student leaders, and staff supervision.
The Club Sport Coordinator will report to the Assistant Director of Recreation & Wellness overseeing Club Sports & Business Operations
Responsibilities - Essential Functions:
Recruit, hire, schedule, supervise, and evaluate part-time student staff, interns/fieldwork students, and athletic trainers.
Serve as the primary liaison for all Club Sport practices and events, ensuring adequate support to mitigate risk and facilitate successful operations.
Serve as a primary advisor to various club sport teams, assisting with day-to-day management and coaching student officers in meeting program expectations and requirements.
Coordinate travel processes for club sports, including driver approvals, vehicle rentals, and assisting with making reservations and processing payments.
Provide leadership to the Club Sports Executive Committee and Club Sport Council.
Coordinate student development efforts within the club sports program, facilitating a comprehensive officer training program and various leadership workshops.
Provide primary oversight of the club sports web page and social media accounts, working with clubs to keep information up to date and relevant to internal and external stakeholders.
Oversee logo and trademark approvals for all club sport related printing, staying in compliance with Institutional Marketing expectations to maintain our brand.
Assist with financial operations and budget oversight of club sports, helping to ensure fiscal responsibility, making purchases, and processing payments as needed.
Ensure proper enforcement and understanding of departmental, university, and program policies and procedures, working to continuously improve the club sport handbook and resources.
Manage and maintain equipment inventory, medical supplies, and dedicated storage spaces.
Cultivate an inclusive, safe, and diverse environment; address concerns, behavior, and conduct issues as necessary.
Assist with coordinating various alumni engagement efforts, including Giving Tuesday and Homecoming, to help increase Alumni Relations with club sports.
Other duties as assigned as they relate to supporting Club Sports programming and departmental initiatives.

Required Qualifications and Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Recreation Administration, Sport Management, Higher Education or related field.
Experience in sports programming, risk management, and fiscal management.
Proven leadership, management, and mentoring experience.
Able and willing to be on-call during regular occurring programs and practices.
Ability to work nights and weekends as events or activities require.
Must have strong verbal & written communication skills, organizational skills, and the ability to work independently and as a member of a cohesive, energetic team.
Current CPR, First Aid, and AED certification or the ability to obtain within one month of employment.
