The Associate Director provides leadership and administrative oversight of member services, events, and sport programs. The Associate Director will manage related budgets and revenue streams and supervise staff to ensure the department is delivering a superior experience to the UofSC community.

Primary duties include:

• Provide oversight of all Campus Recreation membership and point of sale transactions. Maintain systems for memberships and associated access control, locker rentals and lock issuance. 
• Provide oversight of the Club Sport and Intramural Sport programs. Manage the league and event schedule to ensure optimal service, and the development of the sport officials to ensure game and participant management.
• Serve in a senior leadership role for campus recreation recommending, guiding and/or implementing organizational-wide policies, procedures, goals, and strategic initiatives that drive growth, continuous improvement, safety, quality and participant satisfaction through program reviews and assessment.
• Develop associated budgets, manage expenditures and revenue streams utilizing specified tools.
• Provide oversight of Campus Recreation events and reservations to optimize utilization of all Campus Recreation facilities ensuring spaces are scheduled to maximize impact to the student experience
• Provide appropriate levels of supervision to optimize the effectiveness of all direct reports and ensure appropriate supervision of full-time and part-time staff throughout assigned teams.

Minimum Qualifications: Master’s degree and 5 years related program experience, or bachelor’s degree and 7 years related experience.

Preferred Qualifications: Experience with staff supervision, management of student organizations, recreation programming, and customer service.
