Campus Recreation Services is located at the George S. Eccles Student Life Center which connects student life with academic life to create an engaged campus community. Amenities include a 50-meter pool, indoor and outdoor leisure pools, large indoor hot tub/spa, 320-yard indoor running track, bouldering & 4-story climbing wall, 15,000 square foot fitness center, outdoor adventure center, outdoor mezzanine, outdoor fire pit, 5 sport courts, racquetball courts, 4 group fitness studios, and a combative room. Additional amenities include three outdoor fields, a branch of the University Federal Credit Union, Shake Smart, the Center for Student Wellness, and Athletic Training.

The Manager of Membership & Scheduling has a pivotal and engaging role in the following: 

• Schedule facilities for Campus Recreation Services (CRS) programs and services; monitor daily use of activity areas to ensure maximum participation; communicate guidelines and schedules with CRS staff; develop and publish weekly schedules.
• Schedule CRS facilities for University organizations and departments and external community groups. Communicate policies with rental groups; supervise event production, supervision, manage event set-up and strike down; prepare agreements and invoices; review, assess, respond to event supervision reports.
• Supervise and schedule special event staff; enter and monitor payroll; ensure staff are appropriately trained for events and excellent customer service, including any special requests regarding equipment and access needs, event set-up/strike down and risk management issues. Assist in the management of membership services staffing.
• Assist Membership Services with rental services and front desk operations including membership sales. Primarily administration of locker rentals. This includes inventory, guest services, system controls, and responding to operational issues.
• Collaborate with other university departments and student organizations to both continue current special events at CRS facilities, but also develop new special events such as late-night events. 
• Assists in the planning, implementation and support of departmental Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion efforts.
• Ensures competency of staff through the development and/or presentation of educational programs and through on-going staff performance evaluations.

Required Qualities: 

• Master’s degree or Bachelor’s degree + four years of related experience or 12 years of related experience. Background knowledge of hiring department’s area of specialization in order to analyze, plan and draw conclusions for recommendations to superiors. Demonstrated leadership skills in planning and directing employees and processes in order to effectively monitor and develop subordinates and to ensure the smooth operation of department.

Department Specific Qualifications:

• In addition to the above: Experience in campus recreation or scheduling/event administration; excellent problem-solving skills; risk management proficiency; effective communication skills; and exceptional guest service skills required. Demonstrated ability to work effectively in teams with individuals from diverse communities and cultures supporting department diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts.
