The Assistant Director for Aquatics & Risk Management will manage a comprehensive aquatics program and assist in the management of risk for UF Recreational Sports which includes the day-to-day operations and scheduling of aquatic facilities; plan, schedule, and facilitate Swimming and Water Safety Instructor, Lifeguarding, and First Aid/CPR/AED training, certifications, and lessons;  aquatic programming; hiring, training, scheduling, supervising, and evaluating processes for aquatics staff; and prepare and analyze statistical reports, evaluations, and participation surveys, program manuals, determine program fiscal needs, and prepare budget recommendations.

Required Qualifications: Master's degree in appropriate area of specialization and two years of appropriate experience OR a bachelor's degree in appropriate areas of specialization and four years of experience.

Preferred Qualifications: Comprehensive understanding of aquatic facility operations & programming in a campus recreation setting; effective communication skills; ability to work with minimal supervision; ability to effectively supervise; and work in a team-oriented, fast paced environment; physically able to teach/instruct aquatic training classes, instructor trainings and lift a minimum of 45 pounds.
