We are seeking a dynamic, energetic, goal-oriented, and innovative leader within the field of higher education and collegiate recreation. The Assistant Director of Staff Training & Development is a full-time employee under the direct supervision of the Associate Director of Business Development. They are focused on the student employee life cycle, from recruitment to beyond graduation, facilitating growth & development through their experience as a Rec Well employee. They are responsible for coordinating divisional training and development initiatives for over 700 student employees. They will oversee the Professional Intern program which includes 8-12 Professional Interns in a variety of program areas across the division. This role will also assist with professional staff training & development opportunities throughout the year. Primary hours will be Monday - Friday 7:45am-4:30pm, with the understanding that some nights and/or weekends will be required.

A minimum of two (2) years professional experience leading staff training and development programs. If applicable, Graduate Assistantship years are accepted. Demonstrated leadership, collaborations, communication, and critical thinking skills are required. Experience creating student learning outcomes, leadership development curriculum, and applying student development theory is preferred.
