MIT Recreation, managed by HealthFitness, is looking for a full-time Swim Instructor & Lifeguard in Cambridge, MA. In this role, you will teach private and group swim lessons, seasonally assist with the MIT Summer Day Camp operations, lifeguard/monitor patrons, and support the Assistant Director of Programs with administration tasks for the learn to swim and private lesson programs. MIT is proud to host two aquatic facilities that include a 50-meter Olympic-size pool and 2 six-lane, 25-yard pools. Schedule is determined based on operational and seasonal needs of the program.Expected schedule is Saturday-Wednesday (September – May) and Monday-Friday during Summer Camp (June – August).

What's needed:
1+ years of experience teaching swimming.
Current Lifeguard certification from American Red Cross or YMCA.
Current CPR/AED/First Aid certifications obtained from American Heart Association, American Red Cross or American Safety & Health Institute.
Must be at least 18 years old and possess a High School Diploma or GED.
Ideal candidates will have experience teaching both adults and child and experience lifeguarding in an aquatic facility.
