Job Summary:
The Coordinator of Wellness Coaching is a full-time employee under the direct supervision of the Assistant Director of Wellbeing. This position is directly responsible for the oversight of the wellness coaching program which includes but not limited to establishing program and department goals, developing training content and course curriculum, coordinating scheduling and registration, working with campus partners, leading coaching meetings, and marketing of the program. This position will also have academic teaching requirements. The Coordinator will have dedicated wellness coaching clients (1:1 and group setting) and supervise 10-20 student wellness coaches.
Responsibilities:
Improves well-being of the campus community by engaging with community and campus stakeholders and using population-level data to prioritize, design, implement, and evaluate strategies to achieve measurable health improvements by creating health-supporting systems, policies, and environments.
10% Gathers and evaluates population-level health data and engages with stakeholders to discern needs and interests and build capacity for population-level health improvement
15% Applies evidence-based theories, frameworks, and assessments according to current health research and practice
25% Develops, implements, organizes, and evaluates population-health initiatives based on sound data, theory, and evidence
30% Provides consultation, training, and capacity-building resources for stakeholders to advance a health-promoting setting with respect to policies, learning and working environments, physical spaces, services and support, student development, and/or opportunities for social connectedness
10% Provide 1:1 wellness coaching and/or group sessions for students. In addition, recruits, hires, trains, supervises, and evaluates student wellness coaches.
10% Facilitates classroom, online and/or laboratory instruction for one or more courses, including assessment of student performance

Education:
Required Bachelor's Degree in Health Promotion, Health Education, Public Health, Social Work, Psychology or related field
Preferred Master's Degree in Health Promotion, Health Education, Public Health, Social Work, Psychology or related field
Qualifications:
Required: - Experience in the practice of motivational interviewing.
Preferred: - Experience as a wellness coach or working with wellness coaching programs. - Experience supervising students employees. - Understanding and application of health theory and health equity. - Experience in assessment, including survey development, focus groups & evaluation. - A high attention to detail and creative problem-solving skills - Experience teaching academic courses related to health/wellness coaching.
License/Certification:
Preferred LPC - Licensed Professional Counselor Licensed Professional Counselor and/or Wellness Coaching Certification preferred

This position requires a majority of work to be performed in-person, onsite, at a designated campus work location. Some work may be performed remotely, at an offsite, non-campus work location up to one day per week, if desired.

Salary:
Minimum $50,000 ANNUAL (12 months) Depending on Qualifications The starting salary for the position is $50,000. Actual salary will be based on experience and qualifications.
