- Support all recreational programs and events held at night (indoors and outdoors) to ensure a safe and secure environment for the campus community
- Responsible for outdoor field lights, locking up gates and securing equipment when appropriate
- Hire, schedule and train building staff that manage all areas of the Activity Center
- Assist with event set up as needed in the evenings
- Provide support to the climbing wall operation as needed
- Other duties as assigned at the Activity Center, Rec Center west and SPN Wellness Center
- This position is a night time position with work hours from 3:30pm – 1am Monday – Thursday and 3pm – 10pm on Friday. Some weekend hours are required.
Reports to the Assistant Director for Facilities.
Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
Must be able to lift 50 pounds. Job requires for you to periodically walk around the facility and stand for short lengths of time. Some pushing/pulling is requiring for certain tasks.
Environmental Conditions:
Most of the job is indoors, but at times must go outside to check on fields and turn on or off lights.
Remote Notice:
After the probationary period, this role may be eligible for a hybrid (partly remote/partly in office) work schedule, subject to business need and manager approval. Must be located within the DFW Area and have the ability to be on campus with 24 hours of notice. A UT Dallas Remote Work Agreement will be required within 14 days after approval.

Bachelor’s degree in relevant field; experience in developing and operating a recreation program; certification in CPR & First Aid; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred: Master’s degree in recreation or related field. Experience in facility management, student supervision and cash handling.
