Boise State University invites interested applicants to apply for the position of Associate Director, Facilities and Operations and become a part of the Campus Recreation team as we build an engaged community that encourages healthy, active people and enhances student success. The Associate Director of Facilities and Operations is responsible for the overall, day-to-day operations of the Student Recreation Center which includes facility maintenance and custodial services, capital projects, space planning, and risk management. The Associate Director of Facilities and Operations will also be indirectly responsible for the related personnel functions of direct reports including facility scheduling and event management, membership services, and aquatics. The Associate Director will directly supervise the Assistant Director of Facilities and Aquatics, the Coordinator of Member Services, and three Night Custodians while indirectly supervising the Coordinator of Aquatics and Safety and approximately 80 student staff members on the Facility Operations Team. The Associate Director of Facilities and Operations will report to the Director of Campus Recreation.

You will have the opportunity to:
Provide leadership in the areas of Facility Operations, Membership Services, Facility Maintenance and Custodial Operations, Aquatics, and Risk Management.
Supervise full-time professional and classified staff including the Assistant Director of Facilities and Aquatics, Coordinator of Member Services, and three Night Custodians.
Serve as the department Affiliate Project Manager as a liaison to A&E Services for small and large capital improvement projects.
Manage the regular and preventative maintenance of Campus Recreation facilities to maintain and repair critical building assets, building systems, and facility infrastructure.
Develop short and long-term strategies to modernize facility spaces, improve space utilization, and plan for campus growth.
Assist in the annual budgeting process for Campus Recreation.
Serve as the department liaison to a third-party vendor for fitness equipment maintenance as well as the procurement of new fitness equipment assets for the Student Recreation Center.

Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
7 years of experience including 3 years managerial experience
