Position Overview
This position is primarily responsible for assisting with the management, supervision, scheduling and operation of the Facility Managers (FM’s), Fitness Center (The Core) and Rental Services (Gear Central) to ensure a safe, clean, and secure environment. The Graduate Assistant will be responsible for training, evaluating, and supervising the Crimson Crew student staff, along with program development and management.
Compensation
This is a nine-month position, 20 hours/week with a $20,800 stipend, tuition waiver, and renewal after successful first year. Professional development funding and summer employment potential.
20 hours a week, this will include weekends, evenings, and holidays (University Breaks & Winter Intersession)
Stipend is August to May (summer hours may be available)
Responsibilities
Assist in the selection, training, supervision, and development of student staff for assigned areas (Facility Managers & Gear/Core)
Manage Fusion, Connect2, & WhenToWork software and all associated rental controls at Gear Central; including lockers, merchandise, and rental inventory, as well as lost and found systems
Support facility management of the Student Life Center, including daily operations, supervision, safety, and risk management, along with policy enforcement
Assist with department and division wide programs and initiatives.
Submit work orders, service requests, inventory management and supervision of purchase orders
Assist full-time staff with in-services, training, meetings, etc.
Configure schedules for all academic terms and breaks, and resolve scheduling conflicts as they arise
Complete and review payroll as needed
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Recreation, Sports Management, Physical Education or sports related field
Acceptance into the Parks, Recreation and Tourism or the Educational Leadership and Policy, Student Affairs program graduate program.?

Campus Recreation Services is located at the George S. Eccles Student Life Center, which connects student Life with academic life to create an engaged campus community. Amenities include a 50-meter pool, indoor and outdoor leisure pools, large indoor hot tub/spa, 320-yard indoor running track, bouldering and 4-story climbing wall, 5 sport courts, racquetball courts, 4 group fitness studios, and a combative room. Additional amenities include Shake Smart,and Athletic Training. Campus Recreation Services operates and schedules three outdoor turf fields, an outdoor track, and four sand volleyball courts.
