Facilities (1 position) –
This position is designed to ensure the wellbeing of our Fitness Centers on GCU’s campus. You will be working with management along with student workers to ensure everything with our staff, facilities, and behind scenes is running smoothly, safely, and effectively. Must have a bachelors degree, accepted into Graduate School, and maintain a GPA of 3.0. Benefits include free on site gym access and Graduate Assistant/Employee Tuition Program.

Intramural Sports (1 positions) –
This position is designed to provide valuable, hands-on experience in recreation management while contributing to the personal and professional development of the graduate assistant. The GA will work closely with professional staff, student employees, and campus partners to deliver a comprehensive intramural sports program that enhances student engagement, promotes physical activity, and supports holistic well-being.
The Graduate Assistant will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the intramural sports program, including organizing leagues, tournaments, and special events for a diverse range of sports and activities. They will also play a key role in supervising and mentoring student staff, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and excellence.

Outdoor Recreation (Campus Garden) (1 position) –
Under the general direction of the Outdoor Recreation Manager, the Graduate Assistant for the Campus Garden will play a crucial role in managing and overseeing the daily operations of the Campus Garden within the Outdoor Recreation Program. This role is designed to provide hands-on experience in garden management, sustainability practices, and student leadership. The Graduate Assistant will be involved in various aspects of the garden, from supervising student staff and ensuring the garden's upkeep to coordinating educational programs and events.
The position requires a flexible schedule to accommodate early mornings, weekends, and occasional evening shifts to ensure consistent coverage and maintenance of the garden. The Graduate Assistant will collaborate closely with the Outdoor Recreation Manager and other campus departments to promote the garden as a valuable resource for the university community, integrating sustainability and ethical practices into all garden-related activities.
In addition to operational responsibilities, the Graduate Assistant will contribute to the development of policies, marketing strategies, and educational initiatives that enhance the garden’s visibility and engagement among students, faculty, and staff. This role demands strong organizational skills, a commitment to environmental stewardship, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a diverse campus environment.
Accepted and enrolled in Grand Canyon University Masters Program
CPR/First Aid and AED certification (or willingness to obtain).
