This position is a 21-month commitment, spanning 5 academic terms. Compensation is based on two 9-month appointments, August through April, with 20 weekly work hours plus additional hourly compensation during the summer term at the conclusion of year one, as needed. An academic waiver will be provided for in-state tuition (for the School of Communications) for the Fall and Spring semesters. Summer academic waiver is dependent on funding available. Graduate students have access to health insurance through the University.

Job Summary
The Graduate Assistant for Marketing works directly with the Assistant Director of Marketing & Special Events to enhance the overall marketing for Campus Recreation. This position is responsible for developing, designing and implementing marketing campaigns for Campus Recreation program areas. Campaigns will span digital, social, and print media and will be targeted at various audiences on and o?-campus. This position requires strong organization and interpersonal skills.
This position will work with and direct a student team of 10+ undergraduate students in the Marketing department. Work is performed under the supervision of the Assistant Director of Marketing.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and manage production and promotion of marketing campaigns and materials for program areas and facilities including print and digital content
Assist with coordination and implementation of marketing campaigns and strategies
Collaborate and supervise undergraduate Marketing team of 10+ students
Assist program areas with special event planning and execution
Contribute to website updates and content creation
Assist with development and production of photo and video
Oversee departmental digital signage
Qualifications
Strong professionalism, written, and oral communication skills
Demonstrated ability to organize and coordinate simultaneous projects
Experience in Adobe Creative Suite
Creative thinker with a collaborative spirit and a drive to learn
Graduate level student scheduled to be enrolled in FSU’s School of Communication pursuing a degree in: Integrated Marketing Communication, Public Interest Media Communication, or Media Communication Studies
A minimum GPA of 3.0 is required for admission to the Graduate School.
