This is a full-time, term-funded, exempt staff position complete with both a competitive salary and full employee benefits package. UA provides a generous compensation package that includes retirement options, annual leave, 12 paid holidays per year, tuition waivers for employees and family members, and affordable medical, dental and vision care coverage. New hires will be placed on the UA Staff Salary Schedule, Grade 78, based on education and experience.

The Nanook Recreation Membership Services manager is a critical member of our team. While students are our focus, we serve the entire the UAF and Fairbanks community. We operate as a small business and rely on the Membership Services to be face our organization. This position will manage the Membership Services staff at the entrance to the Student Recreation Center. The position will work with each staff member to operate within the UAF and State policies. It is our mission to provide the university community with opportunities and facilities to lead active, healthy lifestyles through sport and recreation on campus and out in the beautiful wilderness of Alaska.

To thrive in this role you will need to be passionate about leadership, customer service, and mentoring college aged employees.

Associate’s degree in Business Administration or related field and three years progressively responsible retail/cash handling/merchandising/inventory experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
Preferences: Experience supervising young adults. Bachelor's Degree in business or related field, or the equivalent combination of training and experience. Experience with Fusion Point of Sales software 2-3 years of customer service and fiscal experience.
