Reporting to the Director of Athletics, the Coordinator of Recreation & Athletic Facilities and will help to develop a comprehensive campus recreation program including club sports, intramurals and campus wellness programs. The Coordinator will additionally be the primary point of contact for all functions of the University's new 112,000 sq/ft Fieldhouse.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide oversight for athletic facility and operational needs, including, event management, event coordination, athletic/recreation facility scheduling, and athletic event staffing.
Work collaboratively with Krammes Facilities Management to establish priorities, responsibilities, and schedules to ensure safe, clean and well-maintained athletic facilities.
Proactively create a structure for revenue generation from use of the Fieldhouse including rental contract writing and execution of all aspects of outside rentals.
Work collaboratively with Campus Recreation GA, the Office of Admissions, and the Student Affairs Office to develop the new Club Sports Programs to support recruitment and retention.
Evaluate current programming and operations to enhance and improve the current intramural and group fitness programs.
Collect data to support new programming with the goal of engaging students throughout the entire year
Develop policies and procedures for the opening of the Fieldhouse to help create a safe and welcoming environment for use of the facility.
Create, implement and manage new athletic and recreational camp system to standardize camp operations and maximize revenue.
Represent the University as event manager for all events operated in the Fieldhouse, which includes set up and tear down for daily use.
Assist in the selection, training, supervision, and development of student staff for assigned areas (Fieldhouse facility supervisors, GA and other student workers)
Perform other related duties as assigned

Desired Attributes and Qualifications:
Education and Professional Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Recreation, Sports Management, Physical Education or related field
Minimum of two year experience in recreation programs including operations, personnel supervision, or student development
Necessary Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Ability to plan, coordinate, and provide timely and effective communication
Ability to interact effectively with many different types of people in various settings
Good interpersonal skills and ability to relate to persons of all backgrounds and ages

Flexibility to work evenings and weekends on a regular basis
Tools and Equipment Used: Knowledge of operation and use of various office equipment including, but not limited to personal computer, including spreadsheet and word processing software, integrated database software, fax machine, copier, telephone, scanner, and printers. Employee in this position must have a valid driver’s license.
Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to use arms, hands and fingers to operate and manipulate equipment generally found in an office setting. The employee may be frequently required to be mobile, communicate, and hear. The employee may occasionally be subject to a variety of outdoor environmental conditions including heat, cold, and precipitation. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Mental demands include varied degrees of occasional stress while performing job duties.
Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently works in an office setting, and educational facilities including sports and entertainment venues, all of which may be indoor or outdoor. The noise level in the work environment will range from moderately quiet to occasionally loud.
