Job Duty 2 -Provide overall administration to the areas of Aquatics, Event Management, and Facility Operations to include organizational structure, budgets, staffing, resource allocation, special projects, policies and procedures, and strategic planning.
Job Duty 3 -Develop and direct policies related to Campus Recreation venues and event management. Assure facilities personnel are current with all necessary certifications, training, and policies related to safety and potential risk issues related to reliability.
Job Duty 4 -Assist with the planning, coordination, and implementation of capital projects or major construction projects including the review, determination, and negotiation of funding source or strategies for funding capital or major maintenance improvement projects and design, equipment selection, and all related matters.
Job Duty 5 -Coordinate and communicate with other campus entities to ensure consistent operations and implementation of policies and procedures including Facilities Management, Parking and Transportation, Georgia Tech Police Department (GTPD), Insurance and Risk Management, Student Engagement and Well-Being (SEWB), and Media Relations.
Job Duty 6 -Oversee the development and implementation of emergency action plans and drills and security measures for each venue.
Job Duty 7 -Prospect future event opportunities for land and water spaces to drive additional revenue.
Job Duty 8 -Provide leadership as a senior staff member of Campus Recreation, working directly with the Sr. Director and other senior staff to establish strategic goals and process decisions. Advise the Sr. Director on matters of policy and development for future department direction. Anticipate needs, identify trends, and coordinate special projects and initiatives as needed for the department.
Job Duty 9 -Assist with the preparation and implementation of long-range financial objectives and plans for event services.
