The Coordinator of Aquatic Programs manages and supervises the day-to-day of Campus Recreation programs and student personnel. This position includes the supervision of Swim Instructors, Aquatic Fitness Instructors, Certification Instructors, and Student Coordinator.
The Program Coordinator for Aquatic Programming will assist the Assistant Director of Facility Operations and Safety Programming in developing, coordinating, instructing, and supervising the aquatic programs for Campus Recreation. Specific areas of oversight include aquatic programming, swim instructor and certification instructor training and development, family programming, late night programming, leisure programming, youth programming, and program evaluation. Coordinators are responsible for programming needs including personnel supervision, guest service, program and equipment evaluation, delivery of programs and services, program design and curriculum, and safety and risk management. Coordinates hiring, training, and supervising staff who oversee aquatic programming and deliver programs and services. The position requires representation of the Department of Campus Recreation in a fair, consistent, cooperative, and positive manner in accordance with Department and University policy. The position reports to the Assistant Director, Facility Operations and Safety Programs. Bachelor's degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through professional level experience required.
Minimum of 3 years of related work experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience required.
