Texas Christian University is pleased to announce the opportunity to become the Graduate Assistant for Competitive Sports in the Fall 2023. This Graduate Assistant position includes tuition assistance to anyTCU Graduate Program. The annual award is $16,000 for Masters level work.
The position includes assisting a multi-faceted Intramural & Sport Club program including:
Assists in the development and maintenance of the Intramural Sports program by adhering to budget; creating annual calendar, training all officials and supervisors, creating rules and schedules for all events.
Reviews and responds to participant ejections and protests; assures that a variety of programs are offered for all interested students and staff; creates the ability for students to compete outside TCU through extramural sports;
Maintains safety of intramural equipment; coordinates weekly meetings with intramural supervisors and officials by scheduling and holding meetings to discuss and resolve current issues.
Assist in the management of all Sport Clubs by maintaining all Sport Club budgets; meets with all club leaders on a regular basis; assists Sport Clubs with national governing body policies and regional league requirement.
Supervises student workers by training student assistants in scheduling, discipline, assessment and budgets; evaluates all student employees; prepares payroll. Provides special opportunities for staff development for the student staff through meetings, retreats, and other activities.

The Campus Recreation & Wellness Promotion department,located under the Division of Student Affairs, has a full time staff of 12 professionals and part-time student/temporary staff of approximately 225 and is housed in a premiere recreation center which opened in January, 2003.
