• Pay rate starts at $15.60/hour. Based on working 20 hours per week, this is approximately $1,400/month. Graduate assistants are eligible for merit increase in second year.
• 9 or 12 month position

Texas A&M University Department of Recreational Sports
is recruiting Graduate Assistants for the following two areas
for the 2022-2024 academic years:
Aquatics (1 Position)

Closing Dates: Applications will be accepted and reviewed until the specific Graduate Assistant position is filled. For best consideration, applications should be submitted by the dates indicated below:
Graduate Assistant – Aquatics : May 20, 2022 (Extended Deadline)
Priority for interviews will be given to individuals who can confirm submission of their graduate school application materials.
Start Date: August 1, 2022 (flexible)
Texas A&M Rec Sports will pay the in-state tuition for all Graduate Assistants (9 hours for Fall & Spring semesters and 6 hours for Summer semester)
For non-Texas residents, Graduate Assistants enrolled in a field of study that directly relates to their graduate assistantship, can apply for a waiver from non-Texas to in-state tuition. Qualifying programs of study include, but are not limited to:
Sports Management, Exercise Physiology, Sports Physiology, and Recreation, Park, and Tourism Sciences.
Other degree programs will need to be considered individually by the Office of Graduate Studies.
Please note that all Graduate Assistants are responsible
for paying their own fees.
