The Director of Campus Recreation is a Student Affairs leadership position responsible for the strategic planning, administration, and oversight of the Campus Recreation department. This position will provide visionary leadership and ensure the integration of recreation, fitness and wellness to support the holistic well-being of diverse students. The Director will work collaboratively with students, faculty, staff, campus partners and the general public to foster a student-centered environment that promotes academic success, personal development, overall wellness, and inclusivity.

AA/EOE and a member of the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities System.
Master’s Degree in recreation, sport management/administration or related field.
Minimum of five years of advanced professional experience in the management of a collegiate recreation program and facilities.
Experience with managing large teams and overseeing multifaceted departments or programs.
Strong knowledge of student recreation and wellness practices, and higher education trends.
Ability to develop and manage budgets and secure and allocate resources effectively.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
The ability to foster collaborative relationships with diverse stakeholders including students, faculty, staff, administrators, and the general public.
Demonstrated commitment to fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion in all aspects of departmental programming and services.
Preferred Qualification
Experience and comprehensive knowledge in a university setting with oversight of a complex set of principles, policies, practices and data appliable to the operations of multiple functions of recreation programs.
Experience and ability to serve as recognized authoritative expert across one or more functional areas on behalf of university managing facilities and programs related to student recreation.
Knowledge of legal, ethical, and compliance issues related to student recreational operations.
