The Director of Recreation Classes and Youth Programs (RCYP) manages the daily operations for a specialized program of adult and youth serving recreation classes and a youth serving summer day camp. Has autonomy to analyze and resolve problems and determine appropriate action. Supervises recreation program leaders / instructors. Provides recommendations for the development of program budgets and typically, oversees implementation and monitoring of budget, inventory and other resources. Makes recommendations for policy changes. The Director of RCYP establishes unit priorities, goals, objectives and standards for an ever growing curricula currently comprising > 450 adult and youth education class offerings per year, along with a 10-week summer youth day camp serving > 1200 campers.
