Job Summary
The Wellness Engagement Coordinator will develop and deliver engaging and innovative health and wellbeing programs tailored to the diverse needs of GT's student body across multiple residence halls. This role will involve collaborating with campus departments and community partners to enhance initiatives and manage resources and budgets effectively. Strong problem-solving skills will be essential to ensure successful program execution. Using the 8 dimensions of wellness framework, this position will empower students living in the residential communities to embrace active lifestyles and community engagement.

Responsibilities
Job Duty 1 - 
Develop and instruct innovative health and well-being programs that promote physical activity, active lifestyles, mindfulness, and community engagement, tailored to the diverse needs of the student body across all residence halls and beyond traditional campus recreation settings.

Job Duty 2 - 
Collaborate with various campus departments, student leaders, faculty, staff, and community partners to enhance programming initiatives and provide support and expertise.

Job Duty 3 - 
Evaluate programs and events to assess their effectiveness and impact on health and well-being within the residence halls and the campus community.

Job Duty 4 - 
Manage resources, process requisitions, including budgeting and personnel, to ensure successful program delivery.

Job Duty 5 - 
Plan and evaluate marketing strategies for programs in collaboration with the marketing team, ensuring effective communication through diverse channels and mediums.

Job Duty 6 - 
Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and adaptability in addressing challenges that arise with minimal supervision.

Job Duty 7 - 
Identify and connect students with available resources, programs, practices, and interventions.

Job Duty 8 - 
Assist with supervision of instructors who teach for the program.

Job Duty 9 - 
This is a highly complex and specialized role. It involves coordinating and instructing health and well- being programs and services and delivering safe, effective well-being programs to the campus community. This position will not have typical office hours and will conduct many of these programs and services across campus at various locations, including but not limited to Residence Halls activity spaces on campus. Work schedule will vary weekly and will be agreed upon by this position and the manager. This position will work primarily in an in-person environment. Opportunities for remote work are available as approved by the supervising manager.

Job Duty 10 - 
Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Educational Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in exercise science, health promotion, recreational studies, physical education, or other health/well-being related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience

Required Certifications, Licenses or Permits:
Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), First Aid, and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) certification required within first 60 days of employment

Required Experience:
Two to three years of job-related experience
