Job Summary/Basic Function:

• Monitor budgets and spending for the programs; actively seek to create new revenue streams and expand existing revenue streams.
• Assist with assessment efforts of the Student Access and Success (SAS) Division and within the programs including basic tracking of activities, program and staff evaluation, and the measuring of learning outcomes.
• Collaborate with SAS colleagues, academic colleagues, professional organizations, and community partners to develop mutual relationships that directly benefit students.
• Represent the Campus Recreation Department and Outdoor Program and serve on various SAS, University, and Professional Organization Committees.
• This position requires evening and weekend work.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelors or equivalent combination of education and experience in recreation management or related field.
• Two years of relevant professional experience showing progressively responsible experience.
• Current CPR and Wilderness First Responder

Preferred Qualifications:

• Masters degree in recreation management or related field.
• SPRAT Level 1 Rope Access Technician certification or equivalent
• AMGA Single Pitch Instructor Certification
• SPRAT Level 1 Course Lead or Instructor Certification.
• SPRAT Level 2 Certification or higher
• AMGA Rock Guide Certification
• Ability to instruct and technical proficiency in rock climbing, kayaking, rafting, skiing/snowboarding, snowshoeing, mountaineering, backpacking, canyoneering.
• Proficiency in indoor climbing wall route setting and risk management
• Climbing wall management experience
• Computer proficiency with database management, spreadsheets, and web page management.
